Health insurance enrollment is under way for Coachella Valley residents seeking 2026 coverage

Help is available for Coachella Valley residents who are without health insurance -- and it's free.
Anyone who does not have Medicare, Medicaid or health insurance through a job can enroll in a health insurance exchange November 1 to January 31. Residents who have insurance plans that may not automatically renew are also required to re-enroll. Signing up by December 15 will allow coverage to begin January 1, 2026.
Enrollment specialists who speak English and Spanish are available by phone at 760-386-6183 to connect residents to insurance brokers. Click here to learn more about free enrollment assistance.
An in-person enrollment event also is being planned for November 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Regional Access Project Foundation, Conference Room 103, Palm Desert, CA. It will be presented by Desert Care Network and the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation.
