The Desert Healthcare District and Foundation is partnering with Made to Save, a national public education and grassroots mobilization effort to build trust in the COVID-19 vaccines and increase access for communities of color whose health inequities have been exacerbated by the pandemic.

We will host a virtual phone bank event from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 25, 2021. The goal of these conversations is to: 1) Have more people choose to get vaccinated; and 2) Help people get to their nearest vaccine site.

Volunteers will make calls using their personal contacts list to engage residents in the importance of getting vaccinated, using a sample script provided by Made to Save. The results of the calls will be tallied and shared with national organizers.
