Coachella Valley nonprofit organizations will have two opportunities each year to submit sponsorship requests to the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation.

The agency's Board of Directors recently adopted a new sponsorship policy that presents guidelines for those seeking financial support for their events.

Sponsorship requests of $5,000 and more now have the following deadlines:

  • May 31 -- for events scheduled from July through December
  • November 30 -- for events January through June

Requests for under $5,000 will be decided at CEO Chris Christensen's discretion. Total District sponsorship awards per organization will be limited to $25,000 each year.

"A highlight of our work at the District is supporting community partners in myriad ways, including through the events that enable them to raise awareness and funds for the great work they do to benefit Coachella Valley residents," Christensen said. "Our intention with the new policy is to establish a time frame and guidelines that clarify the sponsorship application process."

For more information on the sponsorship application and process, please read the complete guidelines.
