Behavioral Health Service:
Community FocusDistrict funds committed to date:
Increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms of mental health stressors that might lead to issues with daily functioning helps to start the process of healing through support service linkage. This support can assist not only the person in need but their loved ones as we. The Desert Healthcare District and Foundation, through our Behavioral Health Initiative, works collaboratively with our Coachella Valley community partners to identify community needs related to mental and behavioral health to expand future support services development. Collaborative partnerships lay the foundation for ongoing improvements in this area.
On May 2, 2022, the District and Foundation launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) designed to provide behavioral health access and education to children who are 0 to 18 years old. Read the full RFP.
