Before you begin:

Review the District's grant guidelines and strategic plan.  If your request falls within the scope and guidelines, please contact the for a "pre-proposal conference" before you proceed.

After contacting the Chief Program Officer (CPO):

Following your "pre-proposal conference" with the CPO , a link to one of the following types of grant applications will be emailed to you:

  • For programs, direct services & "normal" types of grants, you will receive Improving District Lives
  • For building projects, renovation, capital purchases, etc. you will receive Capital Improvements
  • For capacity building, staff training and development, etc., you will receive Achievement Building

 

Complying with the District's Strategic objective to address Food Insecurity and Hunger Relief within the District, the following procedure changes have occured:

  • The food assistance grant will be available as a yearly grant, rather than a quarterly, in the amount not to exceed $20,000 during the District's Fiscal year 2011-2012.
  • Contracts will be for a one-year term (or prorated if your organization has already received a grant this fiscal year).
  • Funds will be disbursed on a quarterly basis, based upon the timely receipt of quarterly progress reports and correlating receipts of food purchases.
  • 75% of the funds granted to your agency are required to be utilized at FIND Food Bank.  This requirement will enable FIND Food Bank to coordinate and leverage funding to improve your agency's purchasing power for various food items.  For your convenience, the District can allocate the approved quarterly fund allotment directly to FIND for a draw-down or issue the check to your organization.
  • The other 25% of the funds granted may be spent on food from another source, allowing your organization to procure the necessary items not readily available at or through FIND Food Bank.
