$5000 to Project Linus for the purchase of materials and supplies for senior volunteers to produce handmade blankets for traumatized, terminally ill and needy children within the District service area.

$133,352 to Family Services of the Desert (FSOD) to provide gap funding for mental health services to district residents in Desert Hot Springs including individual and family counseling, adoption/foster family support services, and group therapy to include: anger management, domestic violence/domestic violence recovery, parenting and child abuse.
FSOD will also provide clinical supervision to the clinical staff. Through weekly training, in-service and continuing education FSOD is improving the workforce within the district.
